Using Light Rope for heat source

pinky Oct 31, 2005 03:43 PM

Now that the holidays are nearing there should be plenty of light rope at half price afterwards. Has anyone used this for under the rack heating?

I have used it as back heat. Combined with Reflectix this stuff does well. It should also work fine as belly heat provided you route a groove or have the boxes running on rails above the light rope.

If you look at this pic you can see one of my racks with the rope light and Reflectix. Even without having the Reflectix taped down it raised the tub temp. by about 5* F. I use room heat mostly so that was enough.
