Hello, I'm new to this forum but have my first question. I previously had redfoots, and still do but decided to try out leopards and are having a ball. My guys are 5 month olds and quite active and friendly. All I have to do is approach their turtle table and start talking to them and they wake up and come right over to investigate. I'm feeing them all sorts of greens since its too cold for outside grazing and they have great appetites and are gaining weight fine. The question is I read so much about timothy hay so I bought some and added it to their home. So far no attempts to eat it but do like to sleep under it. In fact for weeks now they have slept under my infra red heat emmitter but now one of them chooses to spend the night at the cool end of the habitat under the hay. That end goes down to 70 degrees at night. I don't put the hay near the heat emitter due to risk of fire as it gets to almost 100 under the emitter. Do they actually eat the dry hay?
