R.I.P.............My Pride an Joy is Gone FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hypoboa1 Nov 01, 2005 05:08 AM

I have seen it happen to plenty of freinds on here an felt really bad for them but I never thought it would happen to the pride an joy of my collection! She may have not been a jungle or an albino or anything super fantastic but she was the love of my collection!I just dont know how much more of this I can take! The year started off fantastic but has ended up being very [bleep]ty!This will be the last post you will probably see on here from me for a long time!I am not stopping with the boa's I have left in my collection, but I just can't handle talking about my boa's for a while! She had 54 slugs in her an over my stupidity of pulling the male to soon[I reckin]she just couldnt handle passing them! Thanks in advance to all that care!An maybe just maybe for all that have her babies,we will possibly see another raindrop one day! Thanks Eric[Hypoboa]

For your loss, Eric. Kathy and I both know the frustration and heartache from losing one of our prized boas. Keep your head up and carry on, buddy. Things will get better.

Eric, I am very sorry for your loss. I know first hand how bad you feel. I hope things will get better for you. It's bad enough loosing a baby...

Keep your head up Bro, brighter days are coming !!

Call me when you can. Andy

Hang in there, Eric!
Just know that there are a lot of people out there that know EXACTLY how you feel.
Condolences, my friend.

We have all experienced what you are going through now. It doesn't make it any easier.....but know we *do* understand. I am attached to all of my boas, and I lost two that I especially loved. I cried like a baby for days and felt profound grief weeks later. When we get quiet and really look, we see little facets of "personality" and behaviors that endear these graceful creatures to our hearts.

One of the things that is especially touching to me is how brave my '03 Ghost girls try to be. I raised them up, handling them, being silly, talking babytalk and giving them smooches. They are as unafraid (I think) as a snake can be, however, they are hardwired to be shy and reclusive. It is amusing to watch the bravery and timidity battle at times, when they soooo want to come out and hang out with me. You can see them deliberating, "Ohhhh it's pretty scarey......but, I really want to come out for a while and explore." The bravery usually wins

Please don't give up on your snakelings. I know you need some time to yourself - to reflect - but please come back to us here on the forum. Your presence and voice gives it flavor. I, for one, would miss you if you left.

Remember, you have those beautiful babies to finish raising. They will worm their way into your heart, like Raindrop did, and soon, they will present you with gorgeous babies.....and the lifecycle will continue....

Be well, friend...
