if she is in the process of finding a nesting site it is best not to bother her or let her see you. If she is ready to lay eggs she will be walking around the ground and will start to dig a hole.
What signs are you seeing that make you think she is ready to lay?
Bill
she is just hanging around the bottom and not eating much

If she is ready to lay she will be pacing the bottom looking for a good place to lay. If she is just sitting on the bottom and not doing much else you have a sick chameleon.
Is she alert? You can tell this by if her eyes are open.
Are her eyes sunken in? (not the bulbuous turrents that they should be)
Does she eat?
Has this cleared up by moving the two to seperate cages? (indicative that it is/was stress related)
Bill
