beardie hatchlings

lovemybeardies Nov 01, 2005 07:29 PM

O.K. I have a couple of questions. First our female beardie layed eggs I think about 50 days ago. We didn't label it because we didn't think they were viable. But I am pretty sure it was about 50 days ago. Now the eggs started hatching. Can they hatch after just that long?
Now for my second question. The first baby that hatched doesn't look good at all. It is a third of the size of the others that hatched. All the other babies are alert and looking good. This little guy looks dead half the time. Do you think this little guy could be saved? Or will it just end up dying a slow painful death? In other words should it be put out of it's misery?

Thanks in advance for replies,
Cara

Yes they can hatch in 50 days.

The little one is probably the runt. I would just give him time and seperate him from the others. If he doesnt make it he doesnt make it, but I would give him a chance instead of putting him down. You never know he might grow into the biggest strongest dragon out of them all.

peace,
nate
