A question about my pacman.

Travis123 Jul 22, 2003 12:16 AM

Hi, I am new here by the way! But the question that I have is, my frog has a lump in his side when he eats, but it seems to leave after a bit. I am wondering, if this is from food(it looks a little bulky) or do you think he took in a piece of gravel? Also, I have heard from many people who use gravel that say it is fine, and their frog does just fine. So what do you think?

I would suggest using something that the frog is able to digest if it swallows it as a substrate. And the lump if it's temporary when he eats is probobly food.

With something that has as big a mouth as a Pac Man, I wouldn't suggest gravel. Perhaps river rocl with pieces that are too big for the frog to swallow. An impaction is a very serious condition and requires a vets attention ASAP.

I think it was just from food, because now it is gone. Plus whenever my frog gets gravel, he spits it out, I also heard that it is easier on their digestive track, and I think I have seen some gravel, that was enwrapped in poo, like it went through him or something. Thanks for the help.
