Here are pics I took of my True Hypomelanistic Hognose. I included belly shots for those in doubt. I have a pair and should be good breeders in the near future! I will be producing double hets with my Albino and Pastel Pink Albino as well.

That's a killer hognose. I Think it blows away so-called hypos. I do wonder though why that is not called albino? Good luck with your project!
Nice albino pic!
Colby... Hypomelanistic of course means less melanin, which is the black pigmentation. Looking at my hypo pic, you can tell there is no black pigmentation which does give the appearence of an albino type look. But, there are a few obvious signs. First of all the belly of course. Where balck normally is, it is more of a light brown color. The other is the eyes. Hypo's eyes are Dark in color compared to the albino, which has red eyes that glow. Thats why they are Hypo, NOT albino. Very extreme hypo's look albino, but can always tell by the eyes.
Here is another example. This cornsnake I have really looks albino, but look at the eyes and they are not red!

It's a good thing it picked that one though (or I'd be in trouble)
Do you think the red will brighten like the hypo hog he had put up on his website? Beautiful.
Maybe it's just me, but that looks like a T albino. What some would call a Lavender albino in black rats and California Kings.
The same thing happened with Albino Blood pythons a few years ago. What we were calling HYPO Bloods were in actuality T albino bloods. There seems to be T and T- albinos of many species popping up these days. Cal Kings, Black Rats, Blood pythons, Retics, Ball Pythons, Ect. That animal is lacking black pigment all together in my opinion.
But that's just my opinion.

There seems to be a very fine line between hypos and T 's... I wonder how they 'officially' tell which is which?
