Varanus Melinus - Info about them?

MillionPoundBomb Nov 02, 2005 02:06 PM

I was curious about these guys. Where do they come from? What do they eat(in the wild)? How big do they get? If anyone has some good sites on them, let me know.

Anybody have pictures of full grown adults?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael,
They come from the central mollucas, Taliabu, Sanana, maybe mangole, and Bowokan archipelago isles. They live in forests in riparian habitat, and from the skull you saw here - probably eat a fish diet. They are up/active/feed in dawn and dusk hours and hide out during much of day....

Cheers Michael,
