I live in Kingsville, TX.the other day while driving home from work i found a DOR neonate bull snake. i didnt think anything of it, but put it in the fridge so i could give it to a professor that will be teaching herp in the spring, so it could be pickled. well today i took a closer look at it when i was on my way to give it to him. i have some neonate bulls from the rio grande valley and this DOR guy from just south of Kingsville looks alot more red. i do not know much about pits, i am usually more of a elaphe and alterna man, so any info on this morph would be appreciated. if somebody could also include a pic of a typical neonate red bull from this locality i would appreciate it. also if somebody knows where the origianl was caught that might help as well (the one i found was a couple miles south of kingsville, near the town of ricardo).
thanks,
michael leidner
