Marketing Strategy Failed................Flame Thayeri....I've seen it all now

RussBates Nov 02, 2005 08:09 PM

Someone please tell me what is a "flame thayeri"? I'm sorry but I could not resist...this guys ad was just to much.
If anyone knows Mr. Thompson maybe he would care to explain the "flame" theory.

Enjoying a beer and a laugh.

Hey Russ, glad your back and all is well. Quit selling snakes to Brad, I had to throw all mine out after seeing his post!...lol. The ad means, if you buy this snake thinking that's what it is, you just got burned......hahahahahaha.

yeah that pretty much sums it up....I just hate seeing people false advertise snakes. Brad is one heck of a photographer....it is totally insane what he is able to do with the thayeri. Thanks for the welcome home....it's good to be back.

You're not suggesting that your snakes don't look that good, are you?

they look good alright but you make them look better. I wish I could get you to photograph the ones I held back....I probably could if I sent them to you

I bid on a cal king Tom had up on the auction, and went to kingsnake classifieds, and noticed he had posted the same snake on there. I believe this is illegal being that the auction is a legally binding contract. At the very least it's bad business. It ticked me off, and needless to say I didn't continue bidding on that snake.

You should inform the BOI of this activity. I agree, it doesn't sound right to me.

Brad

Where is this auction site you mentioned? Is it in Kingsnake or somewhere else?
Cheers,

Danny,
I didn't realize it would bleep out the name of another web site. You can email me at snakeluv64@aol, and I'll tell you.

You certainly could get me to photograph them if you sent them to me, but then, I would want to keep them. How much? Come on, give me a price.

I'll avoid the BOI stuff over here, I would hate for my post to be DELETED again. BUT, that guy........

Thanks for everything,

Brad

be careful what you ask for it may come true. There is no way I can keep all these snakes. I'm seriously considering selling my entire collection less my thayeri just to avoid the burnt out feeling from a hobby I love so much.
