Eating breakfast?
Then don't look too closely at this photo.
Because this extraordinary photo of a python swallowing a wallaby whole may spoil your appetite a bit.
The photo was snapped last weekend by Mt Cotton resident Nicole Brown who lives in the bushland estate of Ridgewood Downs.
Nicole said she'd seen a two and a half metre python "eyeing off" some wallabies in her backyard on Saturday.
"I rang the snake catcher, who said there was probably no way she would go for a wallaby and he had never seen that before. Yes, they had taken small joeys, but not the wallabies," she said.
"The next day, I was looking out of my nine-month-old son's window and I saw the wallabies acting mob-like and frightened.
I thought, 'The python's back'. I went outside and there was a six-kilo wallaby already halfway down the snake.
"So, I rang the snake catcher again. He couldn't believe it."
Nicole said she was "surprised" that the python had been able to kill something so large.
"I didn't think it was feasible.
"We've been here for two years, and only seen little brown snakes."
The python will be released by the snake catcher into the bush after the wallaby has been digested and the snake is less vulnerable to attack by predators, which should take approximately another week.
