PYgmy breeder

jackskellington Nov 03, 2005 12:52 PM

Hello all,

I have been reading up on Pygmy Chameleons for a while now. I have my enclosure all set up and thriving; now I need to get a pair of the little ones to fill it up.

Can anyone recommend a good breeder and/or location that is repituable that sells Pygmy's? I am looking for a male/female pair or possibly a trio.

I am located in Virginia, however location doesn't necessarily matter.

Thanks,

Kris

If you check/search the chameleon classifieds, there has been a breeder/company offering CB babies/subadults that they bred and hatched. Other than that, there are many dealers that have wild caught adults in stock as well.

wildeyereptiles.com has some CB brevs that are being bred by a member of this forum who has incredible success with baby Brevs. His F1s are almost of breeding age.

Here are some pics of some of my CB brevs. I was fortunate to get some nice WC brevs – they have created some really nice looking offspring.

Roo,
Do you still have that little CB Brev you got from me? Haven't heard much on him/her....

Unfortunately no, she died a few months later. She never grew much; I only fed her fruit flies which probably attributed to that. I’ve learned a lot since then. Now I feed babies 2 species of ff, pins, roach nymphs, mantid nymphs, flour beetles, whatever I can get my hands on.

Cool pics!

I just picked up a trio from KCRD, I hope they eventually do as well as yours seem to be doing.

Try eco regional in the Classifieds. I just picked up two cb baby females from Andy. Good guy and knows what he's doing.
