I have 1.1 Dwarf Cuviers both @ 2+ ft long. I kept them both in a 300 gallon Rubbermaid tub but I just recently separated them - another 300 Rubbermaid tub in my reptile room. The one tub was OK but now with two tubs there is so much humidity that my sheetrock is molding, winterized double glass windows are totally wet, the molding is getting destroyed and you can feel the humidity in the room. It's like putting a swimming pool in a regular room. Summer was OK but now with the cold weather the condensation is out of hand: cold weather outside and a HOT humid room inside.
I recently covered one tub with a sheet of plexiglass and that helped alot but now that tub is like a sauna inside - @ 80 + degrees with little fresh air and dripping with water. That cannot be too great for my caimen. I've also looked into a dehumidifier but I have massive humidity to deal with. I have no other room to use so that's out of the question.
The things we go through just to have our hobbies ! What to do ? Anyone else have a swimming pool in their room problem ?
