Decided on a baby CB Hermanns Tortoise from LLLReptile

nimmerfroh Nov 03, 2005 02:09 PM

If it helps anyone, they have a special on overnight shipping this week - $9.95. I saw someone else had a good experience recently with LLLReptile when ordering a Russian tort so I saw CB baby Hermanns available and decided to go with it (saving 20 bucks on shipping certainly helped). It'll be here in a week, I'll post pictures.

I had to adjust my lighting distance a little, my temps were at 105 - 110 degrees on the basking side so I bought an adjustable stand and now it's between 92 - 97 degrees. Didn't want to have a toasted tort, thanks for everyone's help.

Good choice! I got my Hermann's from LLL last March and could not be happier with him. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

I have heard nothing but good things about them!

We bought a baby herman's from LLL reptile back in August. Came all the way across the country, was here on time, and was in great shape. We love our little guy, and I would not hesitate to recommend them based on that experience...

Wow I feel a whole lot better about the tortoise traveling across country with all the good experience people have had. I just wonder wouldn't the baby tortoise tend to flip on its back and not be able to get turned around during the long trip? Does the tort even care? Also, I was told it's probably a Western Hermann but was not positive. Was it a Western Hermann's tortoise you received from them?

Thanks,

Fred
