How much should an albino ball python cost in a pet store?
errr....I highly doubt an "average" pet store will carry anything besides normal ball pythons. At most they'll have a striped or a black back....
There is a pet store here in Indianapolis who has one for $5000. Only problem besides the high price is all their animals look like crap. They had an Albino Western Hognose for $3000 and it died. Not the best store thats for sure.

Well, some pet stores will buy WC ball pythons for $20 or less and sell them for $200 or more. So who know what kind of mark-up they would put on an albino?
If the store does have an albino then they must have paid a lot for it or they bred it themselves. Either way it will most likely cost a few thousand. People spending that kind of money are usually smart enough to buy direct from the breeder.

Yeah I actually know that they paid $2500 and their reason for buying was that when its an adult someone will want it for $5000. They forgot that prices drop each year, and I don't think in 2 years it will be worth $5000. Plus like I said its in a dirty cage, and looks bad.
I have worked in pet stores and always marked reptiles up 100%, but not when it was a high priced animal. I would buy Brazilian Rainbow Boas for $125 and sell for $200 becuase $250 is just too much. I think this store would be smart to charge $3500 and take the $1000 as profit. Its better than most pet stores do on one snake.
