More Bairds Rat Snake stuff.....

kendiehl Nov 03, 2005 08:32 PM

Hello Bairds Fans, I wanted share a Picture on my newest Bairds into my collection, I really like this one. I would greatly appreciate some "feed-back" on this seprent on whether it is a "true" Hypo, T-Albino, or just a good looking Mexican Bairds. I did find some pictures of T-albino Bairds that were nothing less than stunning with dar/non-pink eyes. My individual was produced by Don Sodenburg which he stated as an observably "special" animal as a generic "Texas Bairds" neonate. She had a greatly reduced faded pattern as a baby compared to clutchmates. She was then purchased by Gregg Feaston (good guy) of Gregg's Basement Reptiles in PA. .....and sold to me recently. I beleive she has a good deal of Mexican gene influence with the slate gray head, but she has no real stripped pattern. Does anyone have a simular looking Mexican Bairds, if so any males aviable?

I also picked up an albino Male Bairds and a 100% Het. female. These are a product of what I beleive was a Normal Bairds pair that was sold to an individual in England, which bred and produced an albino, ...hets. were then shipped back to the states.

Last picture, here are my generic Texas Adam Block Pair which I will use in my breeding project.

It looks like a mexican bairds to me, or maybe an intergrade, I struggle to see how that could have been produced from a pair of texas bairds unless they were intergrades themselves.

Hello Ken,
Thanks for the great words, glad you like those guys. I did hear of a few Mexicans that resembled her, and if i hear of anymore or get the chance to pick one up I will let you know. Thanks again, and good luck with all the new bairdi you are getting. Your hognose are amazing by the way, I took a few quick pics tonight and really like all of them, great snakes. Have a good one,

Gregg
