piebald question

chondro Nov 04, 2005 04:55 AM

Hi there,
I was wondering why piebald pattern does not effect the head of the snake. I've eseen piebald spots all over the body parts, but never on the head.

have you ever seen a pied head ball?
thanks

Ball python Piebalds do not have white on their heads. However Dan Sutherland hatched out a paradox from a Hypo Mojave X Hypo Mojave breeding. It is a Paradox Hypo Super Mojave. A white snake with patterned areas or broken up Hypo Mojave pattern/color.

This is a picture I took in Daytona, the white BP in behind is a regular Hypo Super Mojave.

Also, it is amazing that their pattern is never normal in the dark patches, its always "warped".

Almost like some mad painter spilled white paint in a bucket of browns and never really stirred the whole thing together.

They are AWESOME!!!!
