Hornworm question

schwartzenstobe Nov 04, 2005 08:31 AM

Hello everyone, My jackson loves hornworms and I was just wondering can I offer them to him as part of his regular diet. I use roaches as a staple and he will eat the hornworms everytime I offer them. My Jackson gets tired of silkies at times. Also if anyone has nutritional info on the hornworms i would appreciate that. thanks Matt

According to the Linda Davison book, they are very nutritious. My veiled loves them and they are excellent at hydrating your cham since they are loaded with fluid. Whenever my veiled eats a couple, the next day’s movement always looks very wet and healthy looking.
