anyone have mold growth?(more)...

bengalensis May 18, 2003 01:17 PM

In my high humididty enclosures I have mold growth. Its found on excrement and food particles. I was mainly concerned with it affecting my monitiors health. You know like the way black mold is toxic...

On a side note, ive also got a cricket problem. I get plenty of escapees in my house, however they tend to go where i dont want them...like my mangrove and water monitor tanks. there they breed like crazy and I ve always got millions of pinheaders running around in those enclosure bothering my animals. ONce they get big enough, theyre fair game, but till then they pretty much torment my lizards.

I've had success using a single dose of Black Knight to control the occasional rogue cricket population or substrate mite outbreak. I haven't observed any ill effects on my animals but use at your own risk.
