thanks eve, you still need to get some rhacodactylus to add to your ever expanding collection

Hahhaha ! I would love to get a pair of awesome orange blotched or striped gargoyles.
I also love dalmation cresties, but have been a bit scared off by them losing their tails.

I like to handle my lizards, does this happen alot?

they don't drop their tails as easily as many believe. out of the 65 or so i've dealt with i've only had 4 drop their tails. one was my fault and it got pinched in the lid. two babies got theirs bitten off by cage mates, and the other i believe was a female, that bit the other females tail off.
i handle mine quite frequently without any worries of them dropping their tails. first time breeders are the next most common reason for them to drop their tails i think, but i've never had that happen ( knock on wood)
good luck and i hope you get some soon

mine frequently hang from thier tails for short periods of time. they are pretty tough. mine have only lost tails from mating or aggressive cage mates
