Vision cage problem!

Jim-G Nov 04, 2005 02:24 PM

Looking for help in solving housing problem. I use vision cages model 322 with Pro heat radiant panels,to house my Jungle Carpets males. There is a lip on the inside of the entrance, one of my males uses this as a hide spot. I don't want him that close to the heat panel and I can't get him out of the cage if I need to. This is the only snake I have a problem with (also the smallest). Any suggestions on how to close this up?
Thanks for the help.

This solution was posted on this forum more recently, by whom I have forgotten, but it is a great fix for your problem:

Use the cylinderical foam pipe insulation that comes in 6ft lengths. Cut to the width of the cage lip and wedge it in the lip area. Do the side lips too. Problem solved.

Keep in mind your python might want to be higher up closer to the heat panel, so offering some kind of perch might be good if you haven't done so already.

Thanks for the help, sounds easy enough. Your right I do have a high branch, but I guess he likes the penthouse.
