My experience with Hondos is limited but in general, many breeders target 1 male to 2 or 3 females. 4 females certainly has been done with other milks and I've heard (only rumors) of 1:10 and 1:20 with Sinaloans which I have serious doubts believing.
I would over-feed the male in that post cooling window before he shuts down from the breeding "rut".
Maybe one of the Hondo farmers can offer better specific advice.

Four females is certainly "doable."
I rotate my females through my male's cage.
He'll pursue or at least show interest in a female if she's ready to breed.
In my experience, six or seven females seems to be the most that
one male can successfully breed
