Is hatchling staying in light too long

phishnuts Nov 05, 2005 06:33 AM

Sometomes when I get home one of my hatchlings is on a rock in the light. He seems like he is in a deep sleep and and is hard to wake up. I am worried that he may be drying out in the light(repti 5.0 bulb). I soak and spray them often.

Are you saying he's sitting under the light after dark? What time of day is it when you find him this way?
How is their home set up? Do they have a heated area to sleep in that's not lighted? Do they have an unheated area also?
What's the temperature under the light where he's sleeping? Have you checked with a thermometer?
