When cats sleep in a group, the most dominant cat asserts itself into the bottom of the "pile", as this is the warmest sleeping place in the grouping.

I wonder if the opposite is true with the lizards, since they are cold-blooded and rely on the heat from their basking lights above for warmth? Thus the warmest place in a grouping, is on top...

I think they try for the highest point, and if your the last guy, ya just jump aboard,

I know when out roaming, my chucks will bask on the floor basking spot, and even though there is enough room on either side of the slate pile, the collareds that are free roaming tend to enjoy basking on TOP of the chucks.
I never see a dominance thing when a bunch are out, and then bask, it's always different WHO ends up on top.

Actually, Caliente and Tony are quick... Tiny is slower... I think it is because of that weird eye she has. I am never sure she can see from that eye... sometimes I think it is missing, but then other times, I can see it. Weird.

Anyway, it is nice that Tiny is finally a good eater. Now we just have to convince Caliente that Crickets are gourmet fare! I had to resort to grasshoppers again... but you know with the lows in the high 30's, they won't be available much longer!

I am gonna get super worms in a few days, so we'll see if she takes after Kong and prefers them.
