Brought home 2 new Cresties tonight (pics)

Lyn Nov 06, 2005 09:49 PM

I bought 3 Gargoyle Geckos at a reptile show 2 months ago and just love them so much. I hand feed them every night. I found out today that my friends were putting an add out to sell a pair of Cresties. I had plans to go over today anyways and ended up coming home with both of the Cresties. They have had the female since she hatched. I still had pics of her that I took when she was a few days old. So I know she is a year and 3 months old. I do not know how old the male is. I was told they are hard to handle but they were very good tonight, even took to the hand feeding with no problems. Might be cuz they have not settled in yet, and I haven't gotten to see their spirited side. I named the female Ginger Snap and the male Snickerdoodle. I do not know what you would call their color and pattern. I'm thrilled with them both. Here are some pics...

Hope you enjoyed the pics!!!

The female is actually a Year and 3 months so should probably be pretty much done changing other than the mood and temp changes. The male is older but I don't know how old. My problem will be more with parting with babies if I get them to breed down the road. I bred my Leos for the first time this year and ended up keeping the babies (there were 4) because I just couldn't part with them. I'm thinking it will be just as hard to part with a baby Gargoyle or Crestie. I love the feel of Rhacs when you hold them and they jump from hand to hand. Those soft little feet...

This is one of the baby Leos, Godzilla, at less than a day old, standing on her sister Peanut's egg, Peanut hatched the next day.
