twps Nov 07, 2005 01:07 AM

This may be a noob question but when do you guys wiegh your snakes before or after feeding? My snakes are still young but I was going to get a scale to start keeping track of them on a weekly basis and was just wondering? Also what would you call this morph I posted it in the morph section but have not gotten any resonces yet so I thought I would try here. I thought I saw it called stonewashed somewhere.

I weigh after they poop/shed and your snake is as normal as they come.

I weigh my snakes after a big stool. (And the sheds usually include a big stool.)

to me it looks like a nice looking normal with some good contrast. i normally weigh my snakes once a month before feeding. unless you know the exact weight of the meal you're giving them, then you could just subtract that amount if you weigh them after they eat. here i'll add a pic of my bp's. with the exception of the pastel being in shed. the rest are all normals but they also vary in color. but you never know what may be hiding in there if you have wc's or ch pythons.

I would not waste my time trying to weigh weekly. Go with monthly. I try to weigh on an empty stomach. If they did feed, I subtract the weight of the last meal.

Your snake looks normal. Nice but normal.
