HI,

My al seems to be engaged in hibernation. She crawls under the moss in her cage and just stays there all curled up. She doesnt really come out at all unless I mess with her which I will do from time to time so she can eat. She eats readily once I get her moving but am I supposed to do that? Should I let her be? How long can she go without eating?

I have 14 Alligator Lizards and most of them stay hidden a good share of the time. Sometimes they come out to bask sometimes they don’t. They always come out to eat though. Tell us about your set up so we can better help you.
