guyana w/ stripe 3 pics inside

twps Nov 07, 2005 10:41 PM

I was given this snake and 20 ball pythons by someone who had a change of life (whatever that means) and while looking through the forums here, other places, and sponsers websites I havent seen anything like it. The BP's he gave me were going to be a breeding project to him and included some nice morphs, such as a trio or pastels and a pair of ghosts, as well as others. With the money he had in those snakes I was wondering if this guyana might be a nice pet or something more special? It's the only snake he gave me that wasnt a BP, and Im not that familiar with boas. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. So long story short I feel like that guy that bought a pristine sports car he found sitting dusty in a garage from a little old lady for 100 bucks, without spending any cash...or something like that. The pics are not the best, but the snake didnt play well with the camera lol. Thanks in advance, Jay

LOL, Im still not quite sure what to with it part of me wants to see what it's hiding the other part wants to keep it as a pet and the other part wants to trade it to stay focused on the BP's. But if this is the hardest decision to make this week Id say Im doing OK. LOL

that snake is a piece of trash. I think you should ship it to me so that i can get rid of it for you....very nice

His stripe is very uniform, it kinda reminds me of the genetic stripe surinames that turn up in the classifieds every once and a while. If you still dont like him ill take him off your hands. Godd luck!

Did you pay anything for all of those snakes? Im sitting here wondering when someone is going to drop of 20 high end herps at my house!!!

twps Nov 09, 2005 07:50 PM

Nope didnt pay anything for them, plus I got a breeding rack with a helix thermostat, 20 ball pythons, and the guyana. The best part is I talked to this guy once at a show (he was shopping like me) and once at my store, both times over a year ago. When he decided to give them up he wanted them to go to someone who was going to do something with the BP's and thought of me(even though I havent bred any snakes yet)so he stopped by my store talked with me and even delivered them to the store for me that weekend. Could'nt get any better then that huh? Guess the moral of the story is be nice to strangers at reptile shows. LOL.

Free! OMG!
Ok these nice folks here wont tell you what a unique snake you have, because they are all thinking and hoping to buying this baby from you! This is a very unique Guyana BCC, ie a real redtail, but not just that. I have never seen one with so much striping. You should get another really nice guyana and breed this snake. If not, please offer it to the breeders here because this is a one in a lifetime guyana.

Hey thanks, I was pretty sure it was a unique snake. If I dont breed it then it will go to someone who will. I was thinking of bringing it to reptile show in Manassas VA on Dec. 10th and trading it for some BP's. If anyone has thoughts or offers let me know.
Thanks, Jay
