I just had a snake escape in a tank, going to transfer to a rack. I need to know if that is a problem at all?
It's kind of important....

I havent had any escapes in my racks, I built them myself and they seem to be escape proof. I think most rack systems are, except for "user errors" Like getting side tracked and not closing the drawer all the way.

The first rack I built I used sterlite underbed storage tubs. They have handles which make "shelves" inside the tubs. The rack had six tubs, and I housed snakes in these for over a year before one of my larger females figured out how to escape. The first time she got out I figured it was because I had left it open. I found her promptly, and replaced her. The next morning she was out again, so she was moved to a different rack with Iris cb-70 tubs. I have not had any escapes since then, but I would recommend not using any tubs with handles that make shelves inside if you do build a rack. I really like the cb-70 tubs, they are a good size for adults and easy to clean.
