The Library Lizard

huhwhat Nov 08, 2005 10:31 PM

The contest to name our library mascot is over. The votes are tallied and his new name is Chomper!

Here's a couple of unusual pics. They're pics of Chomper drinking from a cup I'm holding for him.

chomper, quite a cute name. it makes me think of the land before time, not sure which one but i have seen them all too many times with my nephew.
i drip water from the screen top down on the lizards cave because it dampens the sand around it and they like to dig into the wet sand and sleep in it. sometimes the 3collari will drink the water but usually they get annoyed it is splashing on them.
however my bicinctores kaiser berg loves water. when i throw crickets in, he will sit for a minute then go chase some. when i drip water into the cage, the moment it starts to fall he is on top of it. you would think i never gave him water by the way he acts. he sits right under where the water lands, it falling all over his head. such a weird little guy

He has no problem lifting himself on his legs now. He can turn himself back over, and he sometimes uses them to climb with. He still doesn't use them to propel himself most of the time. The kids here love him.
