Off topic...Black kingsnake from AZ

Wanted to share this with you guys. Got lost near Rio Rico (just north of Nogales, AZ) back in September and found this 4' snake crawling on the road at 1:00 pm. I didn't expect it, and at first thought, my mind was telling that it was a good size black coachwhip....I just wasn't expecting a kingsnake that big and that black. Anybody got a female from near there?

Dave, great pix of a great snake. I love that head shot. I like to think of the population in the Santa Cruz Valley as being intergrades, as there's a lot of variation. Here's one from Green Valley with a lot of black...
