Fall is the begining of breeding season. Many/most python species, once they reach sexual maturity, quit eating during this time. How old/long are your boys? I'm not sure at what age burms become mature, but I expect males will start at about 18 months or so. I wouldn't be to concerned unless they lose to much weight. They will start up again in the spring. Maybe someone else could get into it a little deeper than I.

Im kinda worried but people that have replied to my posts say not to worry. The only thing im confused about, is do burms hibbernate? Isnt that brumation? anyhoo, dont feel left out, lol.

All three of my snakes quit eating about this time last year. They didn't start back up again until around March. One thing I was overlooking was the temps in the hide box. I closed it off and a week later Moses was eating again.

Breeding season is one reason and I beleive they also fast during winter because generally in the winter the overall temps tend to drop in the house/enclosure, thus slowing their metabolism and desire to eat. Not to say it happens with all pythons but many. My Ball Python used to fast for almost 6 months at times. But we all know how picky they are

My 10 ft male went 10 months without eating. I offered food every month and every time he refused to eat it... the June came around and WHAM! He was hungry again. He didn't lose much weight, wasn't sick. Everything was fine.
