Where there is life, there is death.......

ankinc Nov 09, 2005 06:23 PM

Hey,

I know that all of you guys wanted me to keep you posted on the sick female panther that was going downhill. After numerous attemps to give her a varied diet(golith hornworms, butterworms, waxworms, superworms, crickets, mealworms)she passed away last night. As I told you guys, she started going downhill after laying a clutch of bad eggs. She never re-gained her weight. Yesterday, I noticed her very dehydrated, and gave her a lot of water. It was too late. I woke up this morning to find her dead. But hey, they are not all going to thrive. For every few that do good, one dies.

But on a good note, the rest of my colony is doing very, very well.

Hey Adam, keep your chin up. The rest of your colony is doing much more than just very well!

How is that cricket infestation going? Send some little ones up for my pygmys! I just had about 200 that died! I forgot to put food in, because its been such a busy week nursing my dying melleri.

Hi,

Thanks for your guys support. I will keep you guys posted on the rest of the colony. I have a few gravid. Every chameleon I have right now seems to be thriving better than ever. Not one has lost any weight. LOL, but the cricket bill is sky high!!!

Oh yea, and Willhayward, about the baby crix, I have no more right now. They all seemed to (from what I can see) of died in the irrigation system in from of the cage. It acted as a mote. It is so funny (actually it is sad) how I have crix hatching in the cham cages, but not in the cricket cages where I WANT them to hatch!!! Anyway, everything is going great, and the chams are thriving.... Have a great day!!!
