With only one arm and one leg left, I've got to hobble everywhere I go.

Yes, they were very expensive. Had to sell some of my best dragons to get them!

But, I figure outside of another adult red male dragon, 90% carrottail male, & a tang striped Amel Fat tail male, I'm almost done buying!!

Of course there is always the chance, after having spent so much money, that the bottom will drop out on these guys. Wouldn't that be a kick in the seat??

get to know each other first??

I know what you mean about cars...I need to put a new AC unit in my van...but I'd rather pay $75 every couple of months to keep my AC running rather than shuck out the big bucks to fix it. Why that would cut into my ability to buy for quite some time!

Maybe I'll make enough from their babies to fix it?? Of course, one of the males I'm looking for may come available by then.

I'll breed the girls to Rusty until My UG male is big enough. Rusty is only a hypo, but he has a neat rust red color. I've already bred him to a bald super hypo carrotail (not as nice as these!)and I was lucky enough that the baby didn't have any spots - just hoping he will gain more of his father's coloring as he grows. Hopefull I will be just as lucky with these females as well.

I actually met a phone ring LOL

I can tell you one thing though. whoever I marry better like herps and animals or she will go crazy!!! LOL

I definitely know what you mean about not wanting to spend allot on fixing the AC.

Everytime I buy something thats not a herp, I think to myself Damn I could have bought a leo with that!!!!

I even figured that by not eating my 2-3$ pre-lunch snack on work days, I could save enough to buy an extra 100$ Leo every two months

And ive actually been doing it LOL. Crazy huh!!

Oh well,
Keep me updated
Jack

Oh darn....Can't run to Vegas - I have no one to care for my herps!!

Ohh....the things I miss out on.....(groan)

I saw a bumper sticker that said something like "Looking for wife, send picture of your fishing boat" Now we could make one that says "Looking for wife........send picture of your geckos!"

You can never have just one gecko. Actually it is almost impossible to have two

Sybella Jul 22, 2003 10:20 PM

If you've been coupled for a while, you have probably have forgotten how hard it is to find a companion who enjoys reptiles as much as you do. My guy puts up with them but only agrees to getting more because he sees them as a "business investment." He likes animals...just not soooo many! LOL!

The last time I was single, I accidentally scared off many potential dates by talking about how much I loved silkmoths and how I stored cocoons and eggs in my refrigerator. When I told the guy I have now, he said, "That's ok...many people have worse in their refrigerator and don't even know it!" That's how I knew he was the one for me! LOL!

LauraV Jul 22, 2003 02:01 PM

it took me a few months. Let's see, around $1700 for the UG Leos. Maybe $1650 for Albey's. And about $700 for LeoAnon. female tat will arrive tomorrow.

This is Ross's pic (I will take my own tomorrow evening)

It wasn't easy to come up with the money. I am really quite poor (was before I got them), I just had to sell a lot of nice reptiles to get them! It was a painful and slow process.
