Any heterozygeous animal will maintain there value longer. Ghosts are ver poplar exspecially orange, you cant hold on to them once they hatch out. Lav. Albinos are going to be huge, and clowns havent gone down much over the past 2 years. Dont get me worng spiers and pieds are great but the market unfortunatley will be lower for them next year, and if your looking for an investment ressisves are the way to go. Also dbl hets. Any dbl het is a god investment.. Just a few thoughts, good luck..

Maybe a new car, stuff for the house, things for my kids(human), riding lawn mower, etc, etc.

In other words alot of stuff other than a couple snakes!!!!!!!

; )

I made the mistake of putting snake purchases before anything else, and now I am regretting it. I should have bought a car, or at least put a $6,000 down payment on a car instead of purchasing a male spider, and male pastel.

Oh well, you live and learn.

The last thing i need is more normal females, i have forty. Thats plenty for me at least. I also have plenty of AP racks. I was just curious what others would buy with 20K.

Are you saying pieds arent recessive? Or that there are to many people working with them? Also to spend your money get something you could use, like a Xbox or a ps2 or something, then get some hets, but if your getting into balls to get rich, then save your money and invest in something else, your probably only going to break even, if that...
thanks

i am not getting into balls to get rich. As a matter of fact I am already into them with several morphs and a total of 5.56. I also have an impressive collection of boa morphs. As far as my house goes i am pretty well set in that area and i have two new cars, so I think i have myself covered. Like the original post said i was just wondering what some peoples thoughts were on what ball pythons they would purchase if they had the opportunity. I mentioned spiders and pieds because i like them, I know i will never get rich with them!

I apologize for offending you but tons of people constantly flood the forum with those types of questions, Anyways if I had the money and didnt have to worry about the reprocussions, I would definetly get a 80-90% high white pied and a super cinny, just for my collections as pets
thanks

You didnt offend as much as annoy. As i said i was just curious what others would do if they had a decent amount of disposable income to blow. The last thing i want is my HOBBY to become a JOB!!!!

If you are thinking of putting your kids through college by buying google today, might want to think twice. It's not going to crash, but it looks a tad frothy lately. I'll bet 20k in ball pythons outperform your 20k investment in google at 380, in the long run that is.

If you like the spiders and mohaves, that's what I'd recommend for you. I'm not yet conversant enough in all of the morphs to make a recommendation to someone else. If I were getting something for myself, I'd want a pied with a fairly small amount of white. I really don't care for many of the morphs, but the pieds intrigue me. I'd want one with about four, evenly-spaced, pure white areas covering maybe 20% of the snake's body.

If I were just going to drop a bunch of money on the hobby, I'm in a position where I'd need a bigger house. With a bigger house, I'd have more room for cages. Unfortunately, $20k doesn't go that far towards getting a bigger house unless one is in a position to make that move anyway.

I'm young so I don't know about high end morphs and costs but you really gotta love ball pythons to buy a $20,000 snake. I know I know there are morphs for 40k but serriously If I ever spent that much money on a snake I'd choke myself. Anyway back on topic, I'd buy a spider mojave or something. Or better yet a killer bee, the name sounds cool and the colors are sick. Heh Imagine me with a killer bee around my neck in school that would be funny.

snunior Nov 11, 2005 04:25 PM

If i ever get that much to buy a snake i would deffinately get some snakes over at RDR. I love there goblin, butter, lesser plattys, kingpins, lav albino pied, phantoms and super phantoms rock, im also very fond of black heads, obviousley for the morphs i want i could only afford a couple hets but maybe some day...
