getting tame

drzrider Nov 10, 2005 11:00 AM

I have had my Arg. B&W for 2 months now. When I first got it, it had a little green left on its head. My wife named it Kujo since he has such a great feed response, maybe more than an Argus monitor. The little guy has grown to 22 inches and is taming down. I take it out the 75 gallon tank and let him walk around the room occasionally. It has climed right into my lap.

Other times it may hiss, bight my finger thinking it is food, run from me, or wiggle wildly when I try to pick it up.

The wildest thing is that unlike most reptiles I have kept, It is not afraid of anything. My cat and it will paw at each other through the glass. It pretty much ignores my Iguana and dogs.

It is a very interesting critter. I will try to post some pictures of it exploring the room tonight.

It is a little dirty and needs a bath. Other than that it is a pretty cool reptile.
