Day 52 of incubation.....no babies >>>>

Cleopatra Jul 22, 2003 01:13 PM

The eggs are looking good, even better than the first 2. They are nice and firm as well as very large. I am afraid to disturb them tho, so I guess I will just play the guessing game instead of candling them (they are also covered in brown bedding material which would make candling hard).

Just think that each day that goes by means it one day closer to your babies hatching. My prayers are with you and the little ones. How are you other 2 leos doin'? Your female gaining her weight back? Hope so.

Good luck

Beanie is doing alot better...her body has filled out again and her tail is getting progressivly larger. By the time the end of august rolls around, she should be back to her usual size. Phoenix is his same old lazy and fat self...hehehe. How is Serenity doing? Getting better I hope.

She doing ok. Not as good as Sunshine though. Sunshien actually started to develope fat pockets lol. I had to take serenity out yesterday to clean her tank. She is still shaking. I dont know if you read the post further down today. But I talked to brice from snake broker. He was like I dont know. He told me to talk to shawna since she was the one I talked to at the show about it. And yet nothin. She hasnt wrote called or anything. You think miner-all is enough or I should buy some more vitamins and minerals. I gave her some turkey baby food with miner-all mixed up and some water this morning. She doesnt seem to be losing any weight. So I'm not sure. I hope it just that she is so use to the stuf that they had her on that she is upset with paper towels. But Im not sure. I just worry. Thats all. BUt she seems to be ok. She hides most of the time. But she is use to me putting food and putting fresh water in her cage. Maybe she is just a lot slower in eating than I expected.

I think Winky realizes that there are females around though. He is a crack up to see when he is out and is trying to look in sunshines cage lol.

miner-all will be enough, just dust the mealies/crickets at every feeding or put the mealies in the dish with a layer of miner-all. miner-all has lots of calcium and d3 in it.

I know its probably hard, but almost always things dont happen until you stop thinking about them.

lol......i have been pretty good about not thinking about them for the past few days since my friend was over for the weekend. but now, i have nothing to keep my mind off the thought of them hatching....but the saying "a watched pot never boils" is true i guess.

Hey,

Good to see you back on... uhm, you haven't been on for a while right? (if so, sorry for saying something so stupid)... I think you'll have some little beasties romping around in that incubator of yours very, very shortly... And when it does happen, your gonna have to post some shots...

Well, Good luck(still), Cleo! mine are the same way, covered in some bed-a-beast so candling has been quite the challenge.. one of mine's at 45 days(the second didn't make it), and the egg is slowly growing, so hopefully in a week i'll have one. Keep a positive attitude, you'll get one this season!
