yea totally,80 is kinda on the cusp when it come to chondro humidity.i think anything above 80 percent,or even maybe 80 percent, may cause problems if it is a constant humidity.i let mine frequently get to 80 and sometimes above, but like meg said,i let the humidity drop and dry things out a bit(perches, cage floor, lungs) even in the wild, there are certain times of the day/season,where there is higher humidity than normal, but much of the time the humidity drops, and with the aid of evaporation, wind, plants, soil ect,the extra water is absorbed.this prevents the chondros habitat from becoming a moldy, soggy mess.we dont have these natural aids in our chondros enclosures so we have to take care when providing humidity.RI is very common in chondros and even veteran keepers/breeders lose animals to this.a huge percentage of RI is directly related to too much humidity.there is a fine line when dealing with humidity and since its such an important thing is regards to keeping chondros, failure to grasp this is one of the reasons chondros are not considered a beginner species.as far as your question,no,there will be no problem with keeping your snake without misting for 4 days,in fact,if you have indeed been keeping your snake at 80 percent humidity for a long time,he may benifit from having the humidity drop a little for a few days.if i were you id drop the humidity on a regular basis and only use really high humidity when shedding and maybe every now and then.most keepers/breeders only mist once a week and they do fine, maybe even better than those who mist everyday.just my opinion.
