sCaLeSrFuN Nov 11, 2005 01:50 PM

Hey Guys!

Ok I have a male red-tail boa, and he looks like he is blushing. He has redish picnk tones on his cheeks and kind of down his back by his head. All the other RT i have seen don't have this. ANy ideas on why that is? Thanks!

OH, and I have a Bearded Dragon, and a few days after I got her, every time she would walk she would shake. No like seisure shake but like spaz shake LOl. any ideas on that? Thanks!!

not really sure about the BD but as for the snake, you just lucked out an got a pretty looking snake. some snakes have this coloration and some dont. my two tend to have it depending on their shed cycle/mood.

Yeah, same. All my snakes have that. It's just really nice coloring. They come and go depending on shed, as well.

As far as the boa blushing this is a trait that a lot of boa breeders breed for.It makes for a very desireable looking animal.Jim Hopkins has produced some of the highest color "so called"normal or common boas I have ever seen. His stripeline has some amazing color, you should see them.
Now for the bearded dragon.I dont know your set-up or what you feed but I have some eperience raising and breeding beardeds and from what you have described I would have to say,the beardie I am assuming it is not an adult is consuming meals that are too large for it.Crix too big, squash greens etc not cut up small enough.Beardeds have a very short digestive track. This is what I refer to as boarderline impaction, reduce the size of the food consumed an this will most likely go away with no lasting effects, however it may not.Immediate results are common though.Just make sure it is still defecating daily. If you need more info.feel free to ask.
