Tank Recommentation for Henkeli

ETChipotle Nov 12, 2005 09:30 AM

Hello folks! Here's my situation:
A few years ago, I gave my girlfriend my 45 gallon (24" high) and she set it up as a flying gecko terrarium.
Well now we're married, and she wants to move the flying gecko into a new kind of cage that we saw at our local reptile store.

Here's where the scheming starts....
I wanna give her that new terrarium she wants, and I'm eyeing the 45 as a Henkeli terrarium.

As many of you know, the 45 is a 24" high by 36" long and 12" front to back. Is this an appropriate size? I'm perfectly willing to get rid of it and build something else if it is not.

Ideally, I'd like to have a habitat that's fully automated for temps, humidity, ventilation and video surveillance by late next spring, and then consider getting one or more animals.

I wouldn't be comfortable with shipments of live herps here starting from when it gets cold here soon up until about the first of June or so.
