Hi, Umm, I was wondering if you had a problem with your Collareds jumping into the glass of the enclosure to find a way out. Mine are doing this quite frequently, and I don't like it, I don't want them to get hurt. Do know why they may do this? Do you have any solutions to calm them. I don't like having stress out lizards..

a time. They are getting adjusted to a whole new environment. Think about it, they are getting used to a tank, that is somewhat confining, new person, new sounds, new everything ! I agree with Johne , most captive breds do it for awhile also.
Some people cover all the sides of the tank in paper or whatever except the front, so they dont see the glass. They really have no concept of what glass is, and that it is solid and stops them. They can see through it so they jump at it ! Covering the sides and back , they done see out anymore. I have never done this. Mine all adjusted after awhile and just stand at the glass now when I come in the room, they want out. Given time they will stop. I ahve a very tame male that likes to jump from the bottom up to the screen top and hang upside down. Who knows why, guess its fun !!! The only thing I would watch is that they don't start smacking their nose's up and get sore. I wish you luck, just be patient, they are very active jumpy playful little lizards ! Eve

I will post some pics of my collareds as soon as possible. Because of you and many other people on this site, I know I, as well as, Alvo and Tango we be happy for years to come. I greatly appreciate everything everyone does for people on this forum.

Maybe you can help sex my lizards too. Just to make sure they are male and female....

PS, Keep those pictures of Kong and the girls coming. I love Kong. Oh yeah, that little Lakoda is quite a little lizard too.

Very cute, can't wait to see their pics. Yes I do like to see who we are all talking about. Ya know ? It's neat seeing the collareds, I feel as though I know so many of them, by name and pic. Thanks for all the nice things you said, always is nice to hear. Be waiting for those pics, Hheheh Eve
