I still am in shock of this find, I stopped into a local small town pet shop, and noticed they had a tank with "Blazin Blizzard Leopard Gecko" on the tank, at first I was shocked that such a small town shop would carry such a higher end leopard gecko, and then upon asking how much they where I just about had a heart attack....only $59.95!!!! I was amazed, I have been waiting years for one, and I finally have one. This little guy is pretty sensitive to light, which most of the albino babies that I have had have been like that. But he is soo neat, I just had to snap a quick pic and share my excitment. I didn't ask any questions, I calmly paid the $59.95 and came home. As he settles in I will take more pics. I would love to see what other peoples Blazin Blizzards look like....Come on everyone posts your pics....YEAHHH

Sorry to be the one to tell you the bad news... Thats not a blazing blizzard, if anything its a banana blizzard which is worth around 60 dollars. He/she is cute though.

I didn't know Banana Blizzards had RED eyes? This little guy is definatly an albino, and its not an albino patternless....I am pretty sure its a Blazin Blizzard...AKA Albino Blizzard.

yours didn't have red eyes... and blazing blizzards are NOT albino.

I thought that the Blazin Blizzard is the albino form of the Blizzard? So excatly what is a blazin blizzard? Cause all the websites I have seen basicly say that they are albino?

I am not an expert but...

VMS Herps says that blazing blizzards are -

Blizzard and Tremper strain Albino combined! These are gorgeous, with bright red eyes and white to pale yellow body color. We hatched our first ones in 2003. An interesting side effect of this combination is that the eyes appear a bit redder than plain albinos.

However, searching other sites (quickly this was not an hour long search or anything) no other sites that I looked at mentioned the word albino. Several said all white and that blazing blizzards have red eyes and one said blizzards were the true leusistic leos but only VMS (of those I read) mentioned albino.

Blazing blizzard is a albino blizzard.they are a combo morph of (albino normal of what ever strane,tremper,bell,las vagas,and blizard.

Blazzing Blizzards are a Blizzard and Albino, either one of the three strains can be made into a Blazzing Blizzards. Blizzards and Albinos are a resessive gene and the Blazzing Blizzard carries and show off both. So yes it is an "Albino" Blizzard, if that's what you want to call it. Some just call them Blazing Blizzards. I think they are very pretty. From the pic it is hard to tell the color of the eyes, but they do seem red to me. Congrats on the little beauty.

I will try and get pics of his red eyes, But in the mean time, this is posted on the classifieds and is courtesy of VMSherps.com, Banana Blizzards won't have lots of pink on them and they don't have red eyes. If you look at the blizzard and the albino blizzard, mine is definatly an albino, it looks nothing like a normal blizzard. And its not a patternless...Plus as the Blazin blizzards grow their eyes darken and are no longer red.

There eyes might still be red as the grow, but the red darkens, it won't be as bright of red. Hope more people respond...and give their opinion...

Well according to the Leopard Gecko Registry Standards a Blazing Blizzard is "Combination of Blizzard and Albino". The picture they show as an example has a very light yellow tinge to the body. Each reference I've been able to find on Blazing Blizzard all simply state they are Blizzard/Albino and none state that it must be "red-eyed" either. Also, the albino does not have to be Tremper, I know there are Bell's Blazing Blizzards too.

Well until you supply us with a good picture i consider this a dumb prank.

If you don't even know what a Blazzin Blizzard is, how can you say it isn't ? Its pretty well known that Blazzin Blizzards are basicly ALbino Blizzards, and I have provided a picture, and if thats not enough I will take more and post more.

I already asked you to post a diff picture, so would you please. And yes i know what a blazing blizzard, but it doesnt seem like you do. and once again, they are NOT albinos.

You keep saying you know what they are, so how does someone make a Blazin Blizzard? What pairing would create that morph? I would love to hear your theory...LOL.

Why do you keep stalling, said you could take pictures of him and post more so why dont you? Whats stopping you? The fact that he really doesn't have red eyes so you just show an overhead view? I'll explain to you what a blazing blizzard is like i would a child since that is clearly who i am talking to, it is a blizzard with red eyes.

You really explained that one, So since your talking to a "Child" Explain to me why would Blizzards have red eye? Could it be that they are ALBINO.....I would rather be a child than an idiot...LOL...You should really do your research before claiming to know it all...And The eyes look dark in the pic cause my camera is not the best. But Eye color is not everything, Blizzards are not Pink either...I posted more pics, if you search the forums.

Their eyes are red because of their GENETICS.

Your pretty simple in your description...So what do you breed to produce Blazin Blizzards...So your saying the Albino Gene has nothing to do with Blazin Blizzards...I really hope someone responds and clarifies..

For everyone's information... a Blazing Blizzard IS an Albino Blizzard... you breed an albino to a blizzard to produce dbl hets (het for albino and het for blizzard) You breed 2 of these dbl hets together to get a blazing blizzard.. and I'm sorry, but that picture is clearly a NORMAL blizzard juvenile.. the eyes are dark instead of pink/red like they should be.. they wouldn't show dark in the skin if it were a blazing blizzard. I've seen pictures of true blazing blizzards and I've got my own genetic project going for BB's... that is not a blazing blizzard unless the eyes are RED... pink or light colored peachy... sorry

Nice find well i think it's safe to say blazing blizzard as normal blizzard that ags usually have a dull brownish colour on the top of there head so congrat's on your find .
