Ok he wouldn't stop wiggling around so I ended up having to hold him. It's not a good enough close up to suit me but it'll do. Here he is with his feeding tube:

It's always amazing how well turtles get accustomed to feeding tubes. I'm happy to see that Chip's doing well

It is amazing isn't it?
I've seen these tubes as they are surgically implanted, I've seen turtles with them afterwards but this is my first time to be the "nurse" for one.
I was really surprised by his reaction when he felt the food enter his stomach. I wasn't sure at first if he'd even notice or not but he seems to notice.
It must be an odd sensation for him because every time I do this he stops moving & relaxes for me while it's happening.
Now if he'll just open that mouth & eat something by himself!
