i recently moved my gecko from a 20 gallon tank to a 30 gallon tank and he seems a little distraught. is there anything i can do to help him acclimate? i placed everything in the new cage in the exact places they were in the previous tank.

It is normal for a Leo to be a bit distraught when moved to a new setup. Just give him a couple of days to settle in I'm sure he'll be fine. I recently moved a pair of my females to a larger tank, one simply checked everything out and was fine the other took about 3 days before she was comfortable with it. I too had put all their stuff in the exact same positions. They still know things are different whether it be due to the new size of their habitat or new smells, who knows LOL

I recently had to move my adopted male gecko from a shared 20L with a female into his own 10G (1.5 weeks ago) and he is still acclimating. He seems to be more skittish in his new cage, but he is finally eating and moving about regularly. Just give her some time and she'll come around.
