I had never seen my gecko shed before, even though I've had him for about 6 months now. The other day I got home and he was all white looking and I really thought he was dead! 
All is well though, he was just shedding. 
I hope I'm not the first to freak out the first time they saw thier gecko shed!
No worries, waaaay back when I was younger my mom brought home a mediterrian gecko that had been in her office at work. I knew nothing about them, and fed him crickets and watched him... that was about it. One day I came home and he was chalk white and not moving. My dad said he was dead and moved the tank outside. The next day he was fine... we saw him running around as we went to go get in the car and head to school. He was the gecko that came back from the dead lol.
