Knoblochi

dannylee Nov 13, 2005 11:39 PM

Hello, I am interested in Knoblochi kings. I have read what I can find on them, but it just was not enough to satisfy my thirst for knowledge. Any husbandry, breeding info. and pictures would be nice.
I understand that Knoblochi are supposed to be the biggest pyros...is that true? How big do they get (is 4' realistic or do they tend to stay at 3'?)?
I also understand they need cooler temps. How cool do any of you keep yours?
Cheers,
Danny Lee

Hi Danny,
I've kept a few knobs. I always kept them the same as my pyro pyro's. From 75-80 temp wise. They seem to get bigger than most pyro pyro's and average around 4ft. I have heard of people breeding them without a cooling period, but I have never tried it. I like the cooling period myself, gives me a break. But they do good in captivity and make good pets too. Most mtn.Kings are pretty calm and take to handling well also. Take care and good luck with you knoledge quest on the knobs.,
