HELP! BCC regurgitating

merlot76 Nov 14, 2005 04:50 AM

Have a 5 foot Guyanan BCC that has been eating like a champ for the last 8 months but has been recently regurgitating.

Started off with feeding frozen rats but have been recently feeding him live syrian hamsters (2 at a time). Dont think they are too big but they are very furry.

Any ideas?

helllo deffenty stop feeding him hamsters, and then wait 2 weeks aleast!!,then go back to the rats.He looks healthy enough so maybe wait 3 weeks and start him back on the rats, hopefully that will help you out, some of these's pet shops will spray there gerbils and hamsters with cleaners like listerine mix and pervent a mite. And sell you there bugged stuff, try and get back on the frozen thawed stuff its way better,,

Thanks fellas,

great help as usual. Your're probably right, I forgot that most of these pet shops spray their hamsters with aerosol hamster "shampoos" or some mite prevention. I'll switch my baby back to rats ASAP and then see what happens.

Cheers.

especially to live from prekilled?

Wait 2 weeks, then try a smaller than normal prey item. Continue on a normal feeding schedule with gradually larger prey items assuming that the regurg. doesn't continue.
