OK...from what it looks like, we've got many, many breeders who are producing TONS of snakes...where do they all go? I heard that last year we imported 65,000 bp's as well. I can't see any significant number of non-breeders purchasing expensive morphs, so it has to be almost all "in-breeding". How many people are actually out there to purchase all these balls...where do they go???

well i think that the imports go to petco and die in some 10 year old cage after a couple months, just like imported monitors, and I think that a few people who actually care about the gene pool may breed some imports into their lines for some fresh blood, but the majority dont care as long as they can get $450 for their pastel and complain about it later.

65000 people probley live in your nieborhood , well i dont know were your from but 65000 is less than 1% of the US population. Also almost every snake owner wants to have better or will always improve the quality of their collection . you know just to have somthing someone else doesnt have or to not just have a normal ball python like everybody else.

Your rite.thousands of balls boas and other reptiles are imported each year.every year thousands of kids are at the age they want a pet snake.most imports go to the importer then they wholesale to the pet stores .on average alot of the imports arrive dead or sick .then pet stores have some die .then the consumer have some die.I asked the same thing were are all the snakes.I know a guy who brings in thousands of balls every year most are sold to wholsalers before they arrive .end result there will always be a demand on the pet trade.as far as the big guys they were smart and picked out the odd balls and still do.Hell I remember when pet farm in fla had lions parrots anything you wanted those were the days now we are lucky we can import any thing .The day is comming that we won't be able to so all you breeders big and small keep up the good work .We still are learning breeding facts every year .

but i have a warehouse full LOL. Next new morph you know .. normlas.. Hell you can get a male pastel cheaper then a normal adult female now. I probally have more money in normals then in my true investments..
