>>looks pretty thin.>>The tail is a bit lean and could do with some fatting up bit the leo it's self in the body area looks ok.

>>and its not a stripe.>>How can you say not stripe when you can't see all it's tail.

TheGeckoOutlet Nov 15, 2005 08:27 PM

got it yesterday its tail is stubbed.

manhattanherps Nov 15, 2005 10:08 PM

because the stripe would start at the base of the tail, which you can obviously see

what would you classify it as?

thegeckooutlet Nov 16, 2005 01:44 PM

my redstripes i bought from jmg don't have the stripes going all the way through their tails. And also the stripe does start the base of the tail it's just not bold by looking at that picutre it goes through the little black spot and starts .

From what tail i can see you can clearly see that the spots on the tail are going with the length of the tail not the width makeing it a striped leo.Stripes do not have to have a bold claer line if the leo has a full spotty tail but the spots are going down the length of the tail and not the width that is also a striped. The sriped would not start right a the base of the tail coz it has a small percent of carrot tail at the base of the tail.

Do you have any full body and tail pictures of the leo.

Thegeckooutlet Nov 16, 2005 07:09 PM

The tail was stubbed when we got the gecko, its not that close of a picture but its pretty clear.

From what of (ORIGINAL) tail you can see the spots are following the order of striped. You can't base your argument on the regen half of the tail.I have seen a striped leo witch had a striped tail before it lost all it's tail when it grew back it no longer had a stripes the spots looked like regular spotting.

I guest no one will know 100% coz of the regen tail but still it's a very pretty leo .

I agree with you Dan, the tail is not striped. It' pretty easy to tell. You can see a dark band, then a light band, THEN the regenerated part of the tail starts.

This one looks more like a dorsal stripe to me.
