Alright this seems a little odd to me...I bought a female pictus gecko from a pet store about a month ago. I get home put he in a community cage. After three days I find an egg in the cage. I didn't want to disturb it because I had no idea how long it had been there. It was gone the following morning. I go to that pet store fairly regularly for crickets so I know the people there. The girl tells me that she laid eggs in there cage too but they turned to heat off, not knowing. Anyways to continue I can now clearly see 2 eggs in her belly. She has been away from any males for at least a month. (the pet store had no other pictus geckos, and they had her about a week). I was wondering what the chances of the eggs in her have of actually being fertile, and is it possible for the to store sperm the way some other animals do? Any ideas would be helpful, need to know if I should set up an incubator or not. Thanks.
